Who we are
At Hopcyku, we transform challenges into opportunities, guided by our commitment to environmental sustainability and social empowerment. We are a waste reuse-focused organization that converts textile and rubber waste into sustainable lifestyle products, all while empowering women in disenfranchised communities to become entrepreneurs.
Our journey began in 2016 as Pearl Recycling, founded with the vision of fostering a circular economy, Hopcyku turns end-of-life and end-of-use municipal waste into high-quality, marketable products. But our work extends beyond upcycling waste.
Our mission is twofold:
To tackle the pressing issue of environmental waste and to provide economic opportunities to uneducated and mostly unemployed women who are often marginalized in traditional economic systems.
We are dedicated to equipping women with the skills and support they need to build sustainable businesses in their communities.
Through hands-on training, mentorship, and access to digital technology, we empower these women to succeed in both local and global markets, creating a ripple effect of positive change.
In addition to our upcycling initiatives, we are passionate about raising awareness and educating communities about the importance of environmental stewardship.
We develop and distribute educational materials on climate change and environmental solutions, helping individuals and communities understand their role in protecting the planet.
Our Impact
Our impact is not just measured by the waste we divert from landfills, but by the lives we change and the knowledge we spread. Each woman we train and every piece of educational material we create is a testament to our commitment to a sustainable and equitable future. Hopcyku is more than just a business; it is a movement toward a world where waste is a resource, women are empowered, and communities are equipped with the knowledge and tools to make a difference. Together, we are creating solutions that matter – to people, to the planet, and to future generations.
255
We successfully diverted 255 tons of waste, including tyres, plastics, and textiles, from dumpsites and drainage systems. Our commitment to waste reduction not only contributes to environmental preservation but also helps build a cleaner, healthier community.
